Greeting from the President of the Samaria National Park Management Body
Speaking about the National Park of Samaria, we could justify its value by listing all the national and international awards it has received. If we tried to concentrate the meaning of those awards in a few words, we could say, without exaggerating, that the National Park of Samaria is “The Soul of Crete”.
The effort of the Management Body is to record, highlight, and preserve the characteristics that compose this “Soul”, focusing on the natural environment as the central axis. You can find some of these elements in this website. We will try to enrich them constantly. Help us! Enjoy your browsing!
